Kaboodle Doodle Challenge # 67 - Tic-Tac-Toe - 3 in a row

Good morning hope you all had a lovely weekend - we were away for a couple of nights staying with friends and had a great time - as you get older though you find you get more tired - long gone are the days when I could go out two nights in a row........ LOL!

Anyway back to Monday morning which means its Kaboodle Doodle Challenge time again!  This week we are sponsored by Digital Delights and the DT were given several images to choose from.

To enter this challenge your card has to take three in a row from this board:-

I've chosen to use Embossing, Ribbon and Digi and here is my card:-

and a close up
I coloured my digi image with my shimmer chalks for a lovely soft fresh feel.  I also used my glamour dust on the stars for that added sparkle!  I think this cheeky little chap would look lovely on a child's birthday card don't you think!

Anyway enjoy the rest of your day - I will be back later in the week as there are some challenges I want to enter....

Less is More - Week 14 - Colour Challenge - WOW

Hi LIMettes!

Well another great challenge has been set by the lovely ladies over at Less is More.  And this week we have a colour challenge White on White - totally brill - never done this before so really a challenge.  I've been thinking what can I do all week for when I had a moment to make a card and this is actually my 2nd attempt card (might post the other one up later..)

I love this embossing folder but haven't ever put it straight on to the card and the only reason I've added the ribbons either side is to hide where the edge of the folder marks the card (ggrrrrr).  I think it looks OK though - although I know for LIM I should only have put one bit of ribbon or better still none!!!!!! forgive me please......!!!

Here is a close up of the tree and the lovely crystal flowers:-

I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge probably because I've not been "brave" enough before to do white on white.

There are loads of entries this week and I've already had some sneaky peeks this morning and everything I looked at was totally gorgeous........well done all you LIMettes out there!

Take care and...

WOYWW # 100!

Wow WOYWW has reached snoop number 100!!!  So for all of us nosey parkers out there that is a lot of snoops!  I'm going to join in today with more photos of my craft room you may remember this post where I showed you the beginnings of my craft room make over... well here is another step in that process: WARNING quite a LOT of photos to get through - hope you make it to the end.....

So I wanted a nice shelving unit to put on the wall above my desk, and luckily one weekend found this little beauty in a bric-a-brac shop - it fitted the bill perfectly... it just needed a coat of paint

Tilly is wondering what all the fuss is over and decides she wants to take centre stage!
So after a quick paint job and hubby flexing his DIY skills the new shelf is now up on the wall.....

A side view you can just see the nice edging!

..... and I've added some "pretty" bits to the shelves..... a  gorgeous lidded jar for my buttons...

I got this jar plus the two smaller ones on the shelves from my local garden centre and they were a bargain!  I've also done a bit of recycling with these little babies....
When I was a little girl I used to collect old perfume bottles and they would be lined up on my shelves in my bedroom it used to drive my mum mad when it came to cleaning!  .... but old habits die hard I guess, cos I still love bottles and jars even if the original contents of said jars were honey and jam!!!

Whilst I was at the garden centre I also picked up this little birdie - just because I liked it and thought it would look pretty on my new shelf!

Right back to what is actually on my desk!  Eagle eyed among you might have spotted these on the right of my desk - I have a series of blank letters you can see here the C, E, A, T, there are a couple I've not shown you can you work out what the word is.... anyway my plan is to decorate these and place them on toP of my new shelves.

To the left of my desk is my DT kit from Simply Create - gorgeous bright and fresh summery papers I so love the bottom one with the large flowers on it - haven't decided what I'm going to make as yet...

And lastly (phew!) I've got this little stash of ribbons and some silk material that I salvaged from an old tissue box cover I used to have they were lying on my desk as I haven't yet put them into my ribbon jars and I just had to take a photo cos they looked so damn gorgeous!!!!!!

Right this post was a mammoth job for me its taken me best part of an hour to do!!!  I think I had better go and see what lovely domestic jobs I should be attending to.... BUT I will be back later to have a snoop at some of your lovely workdesks!

Happy crafting (and snooping!)
