Back again in the week until then.. I will be commenting later on some of the LIMettes out there..
Afternoon all hope you are having a lovely day, I've been having a play with Aquamarkers and Promarkers (Aquamarkers are new to me and I love 'em!) Anyway I thought I would enter this month's http://pennyblackatallsorts.blogspot.com/ Challenge. They have a shape up challenge anything but a square or rectangle and so here is what I've come up with:-
This is just the sweetest image!
This card blank started out as a rectangle at the back but I just cut it to fit the shape of the flowers.
Hi LIMettes well last week I wanted to join in the fun with the embossing, and I was thinking, and thinking of what could I do and then blow me it was Saturday and I had totally missed the deadline without a card made (shame on me). So I not gonna get caught out like that this week so card is now made in super quick time!!
Those lovely ladies Chrissie and Mandi have set another great challenge over at Less is More this week with the theme Butterfly/Butterflies - and we all love a butterfly don't we!! I've already had a peek at the super quick and talented bunch that join in each week and there are some STUNNING creations (talk about put you off your work trying to think up something equally as lovely!!!!) Anyways at least this week I actually have made my card - LOL and here it is:-
I was going to do the added on butterflies in white - but decided on the red as I thought they had more impact.
Card blank: Craftwork Cards
Black Butterfly and red butterflies cut using Cricut and the Paper Lace Cartridge
Would love to read what you think of my effort this week and I'm looking forward to commenting on some of your work too!
Afternoon blogging friends - sorry I've not been around much last week and haven't done hardly any commenting - I've had family to stay and you know how it is life just sometimes gets in the way! Had a lovely time though!
Right back to Monday and its Kaboodle Doodle challenge time again! This week we want you to distress, rip tear or crumple to give your project a weather look! Should be easy with all you Timmy fans out there! This week the DT were given some images from The Crafty Pad
So here is my DT card
and a little close up
Digi Rose Image with Best Wishes Tag: The Crafty Pad
Papers: Prima Annalee collection (a new purchase and they are just gorgeous!)
Bird, sentiment and corner stamp: Inkadinkado (another new purchase!)
Distress Ink: Old Paper Tim Holtz
So it would be lovely if you joined in the challenge!!
Good morning hope you all had a lovely weekend - we were away for a couple of nights staying with friends and had a great time - as you get older though you find you get more tired - long gone are the days when I could go out two nights in a row........ LOL!
To enter this challenge your card has to take three in a row from this board:-
I've chosen to use Embossing, Ribbon and Digi and here is my card:-
and a close up
I coloured my digi image with my shimmer chalks for a lovely soft fresh feel. I also used my glamour dust on the stars for that added sparkle! I think this cheeky little chap would look lovely on a child's birthday card don't you think!
Anyway enjoy the rest of your day - I will be back later in the week as there are some challenges I want to enter....
Well another great challenge has been set by the lovely ladies over at Less is More. And this week we have a colour challenge White on White - totally brill - never done this before so really a challenge. I've been thinking what can I do all week for when I had a moment to make a card and this is actually my 2nd attempt card (might post the other one up later..)
I love this embossing folder but haven't ever put it straight on to the card and the only reason I've added the ribbons either side is to hide where the edge of the folder marks the card (ggrrrrr). I think it looks OK though - although I know for LIM I should only have put one bit of ribbon or better still none!!!!!! forgive me please......!!!
Here is a close up of the tree and the lovely crystal flowers:-
I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge probably because I've not been "brave" enough before to do white on white.
There are loads of entries this week and I've already had some sneaky peeks this morning and everything I looked at was totally gorgeous........well done all you LIMettes out there!
Evening ladies I'm very late in posting this today (naughty me!) something to do with the lovely sunshine and doing a bit of gardening and a bit of catching up with the rather large ironing pile I've got..... So anyway as its Monday its Kaboodle Doodles next challenge - lots of layers. This week we are sponsored by the Stamp Fairy .
Here is my DT card and I picked this cute little bear image for my card:-
Do pop over to the Kaboodle Doodles blog to check out the other DT members cards and to perhaps enter the challenge too!!
Hi everyone a couple of my cards are featured on the Craftwork Cards blog today as I was using their new Tres Chic collection (which is gorgeous BTW). Julie at CC kindly put them on their blog. Anyway thought I would share them on my blog too so here they are :-
Julie from Craftwork Cards will be on QVC tomorrow at 12 noon - her first time on TV - so I must tune in to see how she gets on and I might have to get the credit card out!
I've finally found a moment to make a card for this weeks challenge over at Less is More Chrissie and Mandi have got fabulous inspiration cards to show (as always). This week it is lucky dip and you could make either a Thank You or Congratulations card. I thought I'll make a Thank You - and ended up with Congratulations!!!! still its a crafter's prerogative to change their mind me thinks!!
So here is my card this week:-
For some strange reason the wording looks blurry in the photo above (unless you click to enlarge it) so here is a close up:-
Sentiment: Craftwork Cards
Swirl stamp: Prima
Card blank: Craftwork Cards
I'll be popping by some of your blogs to have a closer looksey at all your wonderful creations, of which there are many...
Wow WOYWW has reached snoop number 100!!! So for all of us nosey parkers out there that is a lot of snoops! I'm going to join in today with more photos of my craft room you may remember this post where I showed you the beginnings of my craft room make over... well here is another step in that process: WARNING quite a LOT of photos to get through - hope you make it to the end.....
So I wanted a nice shelving unit to put on the wall above my desk, and luckily one weekend found this little beauty in a bric-a-brac shop - it fitted the bill perfectly... it just needed a coat of paint
Tilly is wondering what all the fuss is over and decides she wants to take centre stage!
So after a quick paint job and hubby flexing his DIY skills the new shelf is now up on the wall.....
A side view you can just see the nice edging!
..... and I've added some "pretty" bits to the shelves..... a gorgeous lidded jar for my buttons...
I got this jar plus the two smaller ones on the shelves from my local garden centre and they were a bargain! I've also done a bit of recycling with these little babies....
When I was a little girl I used to collect old perfume bottles and they would be lined up on my shelves in my bedroom it used to drive my mum mad when it came to cleaning! .... but old habits die hard I guess, cos I still love bottles and jars even if the original contents of said jars were honey and jam!!!
Whilst I was at the garden centre I also picked up this little birdie - just because I liked it and thought it would look pretty on my new shelf!
Right back to what is actually on my desk! Eagle eyed among you might have spotted these on the right of my desk - I have a series of blank letters you can see here the C, E, A, T, there are a couple I've not shown you can you work out what the word is.... anyway my plan is to decorate these and place them on toP of my new shelves.
To the left of my desk is my DT kit from Simply Create - gorgeous bright and fresh summery papers I so love the bottom one with the large flowers on it - haven't decided what I'm going to make as yet...
And lastly (phew!) I've got this little stash of ribbons and some silk material that I salvaged from an old tissue box cover I used to have they were lying on my desk as I haven't yet put them into my ribbon jars and I just had to take a photo cos they looked so damn gorgeous!!!!!!
Right this post was a mammoth job for me its taken me best part of an hour to do!!! I think I had better go and see what lovely domestic jobs I should be attending to.... BUT I will be back later to have a snoop at some of your lovely workdesks!
