I'm doing an impression...

.... of a London Bus - no not the big behind (well that could be debatable!!) no the reason is that you can wait and wait and wait and then two come along at once!!  This is my second post of the day (so do scroll down to see the first one!) - and the reason... well I just had to join in with this week's Less is More challenge which is Week 64 - How Charming....

Well I DO love a charm....here are some of my "metal" ones (I also have plastic, wood and crystal...)

.......so the first decision was which one!!!!!  I decided on a very cute little watering can......
and here is my card for this week's challenge

I hope that it is OK with Chrissie and Mandi that my "white space" is "green with white spots"!!!!

Catch up with some of you LIMettes soon.

Until next time...

Using new Craftwork Card blanks...

Hi everyone hope that you are all well....  I've had a busy few weeks with friends coming at the weekend to stay and then family coming in the week to stay so I've been busy, busy playing hostess!!  Did manage to squeeze some crafting in though and decided I wanted to have a play with these gorgeous new card blanks called Spring Fling from Craftwork Cards which I picked up at Ally Pally.  The cards already have pretty patterns on them and come in different colour packs - I had to have them all!  I love them!! So here are my cards:

For the card above I also used a new stamp set from Craftwork Cards - so pretty

For this card I used a stamp from WOW - gorgeous!

This card is is stamped using an old Craftwork Card stamp (the birdcage) that I have along with a new sentiment stamp (again another Ally Pally purchase!)

For this card I used a stamp set from the Girls' Paperie

So that is my little share for today.  Hope to be back soon.  Enjoy your weekends whatever you are doing and catch up soon.... until then....

Ally Pally

Good morning everyone hope that you all had a nice weekend... I know I did!  My crafty friend Beryl and I went off to Ally Pally on Saturday and had a great day - spent far too much money - ha ha!  I popped along to see the lovely Julie and Sue from Craftwork Cards and couldn't resist buying the Sweet Pea Sweetheart Buds Collection - just gorgeous!  Whilst at Craftwork Cards stand a lovely lady came up to me and asked if I was "Sparklygirl-Tina" - how lovely - her name is Jane (*waving*) she recognised me from my blog photo and pops over here from time to time!  It was lovely to meet you Jane and don't forget if you ever start a blog do pop back here leave me a comment and I'll come right back and follow you! So pleased that you came and said hello it was really lovely...

Whilst at Ally Pally I had also arranged to meet up with another blogging buddy Sylvie (Gibmiss).  Well I sent Sylvie a text and was waiting to hear back... then I was standing at a demo by Leonie Pujol and a lady came up I look over then looked away then looked back and you've guessed it - it was the lovely Sylvie!!  She had phoned me - but I hadn't received a call on my phone and she hadn't got my text - damn technology when you need it eh!  But luckily we did meet up and it was so lovely to meet you Sylvie in the flesh and to have a catch up.  Hope that you and your friends enjoyed the rest of your visit and your second day of shopping at Ally Pally and no doubt we can meet up again when you are next over....

So I've made a card with my new paper collection and thought I would share it with you all.  I had intended to make lots of cards but then I started unpacking all my new goodies and ended up sorting out the whole of my craft room (you know the job you wish you hadn't started.... but then when its finished you are pleased you did - LOL).

I created my own little concertina folded border so easy and then highlighted each fold with some glitter glue..
So that's my little share for today.  Hope you all have a good week.  Until next time..

Less is more Week 62 Colour Challenge

Hi everyone hope that you all had a good Easter weekend seems a long way away already doesn't it!  Hubby and I had a relatively quiet one apart from a lunch out on the Saturday with family which was lovely.
So on to this week's Less is More challenge which is a colour challenge:-

"This week we have another Colour challenge for you and to give it a slightly different twist we would like to see

Three Shades of Green.
Chrissie and Mandi have already wowed us with their lovely creations as have all of the entries so far (be over to see some of you later...)
So here is my card

So to create my card I masked off the top half of the card so that I could stamp the text stamp (Artemo) at the bottom.  I then simply layered up the ribbon with three different coloured green buttons and then added the Heartfelt Wishes sentiment stamp (Hero Arts).

So thats it from me for today.  Be over to see some of my fellow LIMettes later.

Until next time...

Less is More 61 Lucky Dip

Good morning all my blogging friends, I've been having a play today and have made a card for this week's Less is More Challenge.  Do pop over there and have a look at both Chrissie and Mandi's inspirational cards totally gorgeous....  So this is their challenge this week:-

Being the fifth week of the month we have our "Lucky Dip"
We have chosen a
Picture Inspiration
for you from the fabulous

Design Seeds
It is a wonderful source of colour combinations.
This is just such a gorgeous inspiration picture I love those guys at Design Seeds (well worth a visit).  So on to my card, and here it is:-

The sentiment reads: Thank you for being my friend
And this is what I did to create my card: I inked up an embossing folder (cArt-Us) with various colours of Versa Colour inks and then ran it through my Cuttlebug.  It was quite pale so I went over the surface area again with the same ink pads to give a bit more colour.  I then used some Stamping Up Champagne Mist which I dipped my finger into the lid and then gentle spread a little of this gorgeous glimmer paint over the surface of the embossed area (sorry you can't see that in these photos...)  I then stamped my greeting (Hero Arts) on to a scrap of paper that I had cut off of a scalloped card and raised this onto 3D pads for dimension.  I finished off the card with some pearls and a flower.  Hope that you like it!

Catch up with some of my LIMette buddies soon!

Until next time...
