Pretty Little Prints Project of the Month Kit...

Good morning, just wanted to share with you some of the cards I've made using this month's Pretty Little Prints Project of the Month Kit from Craftwork Cards.

I love making easel cards!  I'm just loving the Embossed Nesting Frames that come with the kit so versatile.  I've also put the Candi to good use as the "stopper" I also couldn't help also adding some crystals - you know me can't help myself - LOL!
I love the simplicity of this card with the embossed frame some flowers and a butterfly.  If you had to make a quick card this would be a good choice.
I love the different leaf stems that come in the Build a Bloom Stamp set.

So that is my little share for today, hope that you enjoyed it!  I will be back later in the week to share a few more... Until then

Less is More week 73

Good morning everyone, hope that you are enjoying your weekend....... I've got my sister coming over for lunch today so whilst I'm waiting for her to arrive I've sneaked into my craft room to make a card for this weeks Less is More challenge.  I was so late in entering last week (only posted my card on Friday afternoon!!) that I really wanted to enter this week's challenge early!  So this week the theme is Recipe:-

Our recipe this week will give you the opportunity to dig out some of those scraps of Designer paper that have been lurking around in your craft space, as our challenge is
'Paper Piecing'
So once I had decided what stamp set and paper to use I got to work on my card:-

The papers I've used are by Papermania: Capsule Collection and the stamp set is Hero Arts.  I had fun making this card and just love the "fresh blue"against the white of the card.

Changing the subject: I had to put my heating on last night...... and I'm really getting fed up with this rain......  I suppose I'm lucky in that we've not had flooding here - not like some parts of the country so I shouldn't complain.....

I've just realised that my card will fit in perfectly for the Play Date Cafe challenge this week, here is there board:-

So I hope its OK that I've edited this post to add this link!

Enjoy the rest of the wet weekend and catch up again next week.

Less is More week 72 - Theme

Hi LIMettes

Well I'm running in at the last minute with my entry this week, I've been playing catchup since returning on Monday for a little break away.....Celebrating my 20th Wedding Anniversary!  Really wanted to join in this week's theme which is:-

We want to see
Something Shiny
So here is my card:-

My "shiny" addition is the embossed panel in the middle.  I embossed a sheet of craft foil.  I came up with the idea as soon as I saw this week's challenge!   I'm pleased with how its turned out.  The one thing though is the ribbon - IRL its a gorgeous cerise pink but I just cannot do it any justice in my photo.... Another mention please forgive me that the sentiment is ever so slightly off "skew" - but maybe you hadn't noticed - LOL!

Before closing off, I just wanted to say a really BIG thank you to everyone who left me comments on my last LIM challenge card.  It was the most comments I've EVER had for one post - I was so chuffed! so thank you very much for taking the time to leave me your lovely comments.

Until next time....

Less is More Week 71

Hi everyone hope that you are all well.  Sorry I've not be around much lately.......  Anyway I've had a play today and created this card to enter into this weeks Less is More challenge which is

ONE LAYER CARD

The challenge this week is to

USE A FLOURISH

Chrissie and Mandi have once again created some gorgeous inspiration for us all.  So here is my little card for this week:-

I don't know about you, but I just LOVE flourishes and have a few in my collection!  This particular corner flourish is by Fancy Pants and is in a collection called Pollen Dust.  Its a large 12 x 12 set that I got some years back - it cost a LOT of money but just for this stamp alone I just HAD to have it!!  I thought rather than stamping in black that I would for a change use my Versafine Deep Lagoon.  I also wanted to create more of a "whimsical" feel to the card so added the bird cage and little birdies (Craftwork Cards Gilded Cages).  The sentiment is Papermania.

Of course a card of mine wouldn't be without any sparkle so I added some Glamour Dust here, there and everywhere to the flourish!

Well enjoy the rest of your day, I shall be back around later to leave some comments for my fellow LIMettes!

Take care and until next time...

More Napkins!!

Before I start my ramble - just wanted to say a very BIG HELLO to my new followers :o)) thank you so much for joining me and I hope you enjoy popping over from time to time!

So the sun is shining down today and doesn't it just make you feel great!  The windows are all open and the warm breeze is flowing through the house - lovely!!  I've been a busy crafting bee today, I'm working on a project for someone in my family (hush, hush) so can't share with you yet - well actually its not finished yet so thats another reason...!!

Anyway I've also been having another play with the napkins, today I covered a small white canvas with some lovely polka dot blue napkins and then decorated it with bits from my stash lying around (love using up bits!!)

So here it is:-

The canvas is a little on the small size for hanging on the wall, so need to find another place for it somewhere.  I love it and can't wait to have another play with those napkins!

Right I had better think about getting the tea on.... until next time...

Less is More Week 68 Theme

Hi LIMettes

Hope that you've all had a nice weekend and I can see many of you have been busy making cards for this weeks challenge over at Less is More already... which is

"For our theme this week we have chosen a card for

a BABY or a CHILD

Remember to keep it simple but you may use more than just the one layer this week, should you so desire."
So here is my little card for a baby:-

This cute little button I bought in a set which I got from Flutterby crafts.  I visited their shop whilst I was away on a mini break last week with my crafting friend Shirley.  Lynn and her staff were lovely and very welcoming - making us a lovely cup of coffee and lots of crafting chat!  Shirley and I were admiring some of the beautiful pieces of work which were in the shop and were told that they were decorated by using napkins....  I don't know about you but I see loads of napkins in shops and garden centres that I just love so this really interested me....  So Lynn kindly gave Shirley and I a demo which incorporates using the Jo Sonja's All Purpose Sealer and some napkins - the results are truly gorgeous!  I've had a little play since I've been home and I will share some photos of what I've made later in the week - not as good as Lynn's demo but I'm going to practice!!

So anyway I will be over to leave some comments for all you lovely LIMettes later.  Until next time..

Craftwork Cards Intro - Part 2!

Hi everyone

I hope that you enjoyed looking at my little book the other day (if you missed it the post its here.)

So as promised here are some more photos of the other project that I submitted to Craftwork Cards for their DT position.  This time I made a card:-

I cut an embossed panel of white card, cut an aperature into it and then cut that into three and raised it on foam pads and placed it over some lovely black printed Craftwork Cards paper - it was quite tricky to get everything lined up with nice spacing....
I stamped a birdcage and little bird on to acetate and cut it out and added to the front along with a panel of stamped acetate which I placed about some black ribbon along the bottom.

I hope that you enjoyed that little look at my card.  Thanks for popping by and do leave me a comment so that I know you have been and I can some and see you!

Less is More Week 67 One Layer

Hi everyone I trust that you all had a great weekend spechly with the gorgeous weather that we had.....but that's gone now pouring with rain today!  Any way  I managed to get some crafting done (yipee) and have made a card for this week's challenge over at Less is More.  The challenge this week from Chrissie and Mandi is :-

ONE LAYER CARD

This time we have the stipulation to

USE THREE STAMPS

not four, not two... but 3!
So here is my card:-

The three stamps that I've used are:-
 Stampendous: Elegant Borders
Glitz: Love Nest Bird Cage
The girls' paperie: paper girl (this is the stamp above the bird cage)
The stamp above the bird cage was stamped with perfect medium and then embossed using my new WOW! Embossing Glitters: Metallic Platinum Sparkle Regular.
I also highlighted different areas of the bird cage and elegant border with a clear embossing pen and used the same WOW! embossing powder (hard to see in this photos).

A Heartfelt Plea....

One of my new teamies at Craftwork Cards: Jo has a very special plea out on her blog at the moment.  Do you have any spare cards you could donate to Jo to help her fundraise?  If you have the time please pop over to see Jo here on her blog for the full story and details - thank you XX.

So thats me for today, will be popping over to leave some comments on my fellow LIMettes blogs so until then....

I've been introduced over at Craftwork Cards...

Hi everyone hope that you are all enjoying this gorgeous weather we are having at the moment!  I know I should be out in the garden as its sooo nice but I've not been able to craft all week and I'm determined to get some done today!!!

Over on the Craftwork Cards Blog they are introducing all of the new DT members and my intro was yesterday you can see the post here.  Still pinching myself.  Here are a few more photos of one of the projects I sent in on my application:-

I set about making a little book of all the "Things I Love" and indulged myself entirely on designs and elements that I just LOVE!  I made the book by folding in half some Craftwork Cards Elegant Rectangles that I've had in my stash for a while....
and then just decorated each page as I fancied!
 Love birdies
and a bit of chic and elegance...
with added dimension and layers using gorgeous ribbon, doilies and crystals...
and you can't forget the Candi!
 I also used my Cricut
and adorned this page using different die cuts, a gorgeous mirror charm ribbon and bling!

Hope you've enjoyed having a look at my little book and I will be back later in the week to show you the card that I submitted.

Don't forget to pop over and have a look each day to see all the new members and their wonderful creations....

Right off to do some crafting...........

Hugs

Hi to all my lovely followers, just can't wait to share some very, very exciting news with you all......  I've made it on to the Craftwork Cards new Design Team - O-M-G!  I'm still pinching myself - honestly I'm SO over the moon I can't tell you.  They had a massive response to the DT call and couldn't narrow it down to just 4 of us so there are 10 new members!  Read Julie's post here.

I'm so looking forward to getting to know the rest of the new team members - hello if you are reading this! (waving) - what a great start to the Bank Holiday weekend!

You all know how much I love Craftwork Cards products and I'm so looking forward to my first assignment for them - so watch this space.  In the mean time here are a couple of sneak peaks of my projects I sent in on my application....

Less is More Challenge 65 Sketch

Hi everyone hope you are not having too many flooding problems that we are experiencing in this drought!!!!!  The weather eh just doesn't know what it is doing!  Anyway thats boring so back to the reason for this post I'm joining in again with Chrissie and Mandi and all the other LIMettes over at Less is More for their sketch challenge this week.  Actually there are two sketches:-

I've chosen the top one and here is my card:-

and this is not a flower motif oh no that would be far to easy!  Instead I used a Bazzill Jewel template and stuck on each and every crystal!!  The sentiment I printed on the computer.

So that is it for me for today - will be over to leave some comments for you later - off to get Tilly her dinner - she has been sitting besides me and every now and again gives me a nudge with her nose - bless her!

Until next time...
