Anniversary Card and Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Here is a card that I've made for my friends upcoming 1st Wedding Anniversary (I had the pleasure of making all of her wedding invitations last year for her wedding). I also noticed that Daring Cardmakers "Anniversary" Challenge this week so thought I would enter it into that too!
The image is from Pink Petticoat, and the text I generated in word.

Tilly's birthday photo

Here is my beautiful girl on her birthday, I finally got round to taking a photo of her it is slightly blurry (wonder whether the G&T I was drinking at the time had anything to do with it......

And this is Tilly in the garden today still playing with her new ball toy - scrumptious!!!! I just love it when she tilts her head like that!

Happy 2nd Birthday Tilly

Happy Birthday to my lovely Tilly who is 2 today! Sorry no photo with this post was hoping to get a nice one today, but not to be as yet....

She has had a nice day though - she had her first dog agility class today - it was pouring with rain (hence no photo from that!) but we both had great fun and at the end when we did a small round (through tunnels and over jumps) to a stop watch my competitive spirit come right out - and yes we did it in 11 seconds!!!!! My heart was pounding away after and I was totally out of breath I can tell you - but we were 1st - yipee!!! Hubby was watching from the sidelines and when we got back in the car he said did you win that round - I said YES! he said thought you had (he knows how competitive I can be - LOL).

So when we got home we were all soaked through, hungry and tired! So after a bite to eat and a special chew treat for Tilly - we have all had a little snooze on the sofa - bliss!!! Awake now and oh just looked at the clock and because its saturday, and its past 5pm its G&T time!! Can't wait to watch Britain's Got Talent later and maybe a movie and thats me sorted for today!

Hopefully will get camera out later/tomorrow and take some pics of Tilly to post tomorrow... until then enjoy your bank holiday weekend.

Another card for the Flower Power Challenge

Good afternoon everyone, a little colder today than yesterday - does that mean we've had our summer now!!!???..........

Here is another entry I've made for the Craftwork Cards Flower Power Challenge. For this one I joined up all the flowers individually - I resisted the temptation to use acetate behind them (although this would have been a lot quicker!)

I think I'm definitely in a PINK phase at the moment don't you! Must try some different colour combos soon.........

Craftwork Cards Flower Power Challenge

I've entered this card into the Craftwork Cards Flower Power Challenge. I made the flowers using their Glitz & Glamour papers after seeing them on my friend Cinnamonsally's blog- who in turn saw them on another person's blog - so thanks for sharing them with us Sally....

A close up detail of the flower

They are super duper easy to make too by drawing a spiral on to the back of your paper and then cutting it out and rolling it up. Have a go yourself you will probably get addicted like Sally and I!

Scrapbook Album Project

This is the next page of the 50th Scrapbook Album Project that I'm working on finished, so I thought I would share it with you again. You will notice no title on this page (it kinda speaks for itself I think). But if my sis-in-law wants something put on this page then I could do that for her.

Right off to plan my next page.

Hope you are having a good weekend.

50th Scrapbook Album Project

My sister-in-law Jackie has asked me if I would do a scrapbook of her 50th birthday party (as she really liked what I did for my sister's 40th last year). So anyway this is my first layout for her. I love a bit of sparkle (luckily so does Jackie!) and I'm very pleased with how this has turned out (sorry about the photo quality as it just doesn't show up the details as well as in real life). Where I've stamped the swirls in the corners I've also added little sparkly crystals which just doesn't show in this photo. The other swirls at the top and down the side of the photo are "Say it in crystals" by Prima - but again the sparkle is not showing in the photo, but believe me it is so pretty and sparkly in real life!

I'm doing a photography course in July so hopefully once I've got a better understanding of my camera I will be able to start taking better photos as I'm getting frustrated now!!!

The whole album is going to be a challenge as all the photos are quite dark by nature as the majority were taken with those disposable cameras, but hopefully I can make something of them!

Anyway here is the photo of my first layout...

Would love to know what you think.

Competition Entry for Pink Petticoat "Pretty Petals"

Pink Petticoat were running a Pretty Petals competition which I entered - I didn't win but thought I would show you my entry! Its a five sided card which took my ages to do - but I'm not complaining as I love cardmaking so much! I was trying to tell a story of "I love Pink Petticoat" - hence the eye and the heart pages... The eye was hand drawn with the eyelashes made up of petals, and the heart is a shaker heart. The Pretty Pink page has got acetate on it so the swirls and one of the flowers are underneath whilst the other flowers are on top. The last photo shows the middle 3 pages together. I was really pleased with the result!

Take a look at the winner and finalists on the
Pink Petticoat website there are some fab creations.

Good Morning all

Good morning everyone - its been a while since my last posting as hubby, Tilly and I have had a few sneaky days away up in Norfolk staying with my Dad. We had the most brill weather and enjoyed our days out walking with Tilly either on the lovely beaches or beside a broad. Funny story though, when we arrived at Dad's we couldn't let Tilly out into the garden as Dad had a couple of ducks in residence and the female had been laying eggs - so we had to wait for them to fly away at dusk before Tilly could go in the garden. Hubby and I thought we were seeing things as on the day we got back home we couldn't believe it but there were 3 ducks in our garden!!!!!!! Luckily it was only a temporary visit and they haven't been back since - but it did make us laugh!

Tilly just loves playing fetch at the beach...

This is Ranworth Broad - we were sitting having a lovely ice cream with this gorgeous view..

This is sitting down again but at Wroxham Broad (I think we were having and ice cream again!!!!)

Here are the ducks in Dad's garden:-

Here are the ducks in our garden:-

Back to reality though now that we are home (with the washing machine working its socks off to catch up) fingers crossed the rain stays away so I can get it all dry outside on the line.

I've got withdrawal symptoms for making cards - although I did take a few card making bits away with me, but only managed one card! So here I am on the computer with my other new hobby - blogging - so after this I must make some cards............... but first hubby has just made me a nice coffee!....
