Top Tip Tuesday # 40 Tipper week T is for............ challenge

Hi Ladies

Gosh look at me another two posts in one day - I did this last week too - getting into a habit (ha ha).  Anyway thought I would join in the fun over at Top Tip Tuesday and this week the challenge is to include a T in your creation be it a sentiment "Thanks" or Three butterflies, Tied bow.... get the picture....

So here is my entry for this challenge and its a card I made for my hubby for our wedding anniversary and my T is the Two Tickets (I could also say there is T for Tower - as in Eiffel - but I think that is pushing it a little!!!! - or maybe not - you decide!)

We did have a few days away for our anniversary but sadly it wasn't in Paris!!!!

I would also like to enter this card into this challenge:-

ppp-makeitmonday - # 43 - Anything goes!

Less is More Week 21 Sketch

Hi LIMetts

Another week has flown by and we have another great challenge from Chrissie and Mandi over at Less is More.  This week its a sketch challange and this is the sketch:-

And here is my take on it:-

To create my "shabby" flowers I die cut 4 large and 4 small scallop circles from each colour of tissue paper, scrunched them up pierced each with a sparkly brad and then added some extra sparkle by dabbing glossing accents over the tissue paper and then pouring over the glamour dust.  I then stamped a little swirl either side of the middle flower.

As I type this a thunder storm has arrived and its chucking it down, but actually I'm quite pleased for the cool air blowing in through the window!  Hopefully will sleep better tonight if the temp goes down.  Last night was horrendous (I know now why I always get air conditioning when I go abroad!!!!!)

Anyway I'll be paying some of you LIMetts a visit and to do some commenting a little later, until then....

Happy Crafting

CR84FN32 Colour Challenge

Hi all

I've had a chance to make a card today and thought I would make it for the CR84FN32 Color Challenge.  This week the inspiration board is this:-

Its gorgeous eh!  The DT inspiration cards are just fabulous you should pop on over here and have a look!  It really did challenge me as I don't usually use yellow.  So here is my card:-

Recipe
Card Blank: Craftwork Cards
Flower die cut paper: KI Memories
Sentiment: Craftwork Cards
Butterfly Punch: Tonic
Gems and raffia - from stash

It took me ages to get this layout right I originally had a blue matt for the sentiment that I was going to put in the middle but that just didn't look right so anyway I eventually settled on this which I'm now happy with!! Don't you just hate it when that happens!

Anyway hope you've all had/are having a good day.

Happy Crafting...

Less is More Week 20 - Theme - Monogram

Hi LIMettes

Well I've been super organised and managed to do two posts today!!! (very unusual for me!)  Hope you are all well and enjoying the next great challenge over at Less is More!

This week Chrissie and Mandi want us to use a monogram:-

monogram: Definition

monogram ( ) n. A design composed of one or more letters, typically the initials of a name, used as an identifying mark.  So in effect, your monogram should represent the word it's standing for and not be a part of it.
And here is my card

Recipe
Card blank: Craftwork cards
Stamp: Papermaina
Monogram: Big Fella Alpha - Pink Petticoat
Ribbon: from stash

My "T" monogram is for "Tilly" my little fur baby - I just LOVE my little girly sooooo much....
So can't wait to have a look around your blogs to leave some comments and have a nosey at what you've created for this challenge.

Until then...

Father's Day Challenge

Good morning all

Well the rain has arrived in my part of the world and looks to be set in for the day.... oh well better do some crafting then........... LOL

So here is my card

Recipe
Card blank: Craftwork Cards
BP: Freebie with a magazine
Stamp: Hero Arts
Sentiment: computer generated
Glossy Accents

I really love this Hero Arts stamp its so versatile.  I stamped the extra butterflies and layered them up and added glossy accents to give them a bit of shine.

So here are the challenges I would like to enter:-

Papertake Weekly - Dads and Lads (Tues)
cupcake craft challenges - Cupcake 146 Boy oh boy oh boy
ooh-la-la-creations challenges - Challenge 82 Father's day/Special man

I also made a Father's Day card for my sister (well actually I made both and let my sis decide which one she wanted as I liked them both!!)  This is what she picked:-

Recipe
Card Blank: Craftwork Cards
Stamp: Glitz
Embossing folder: Bark Creative Expressions
Sentiment: computer generated

I inked the embossing folder before I ran it through the cuttlebug I do love the effect this gives! - just can't remember what ink it was!

Less is More Week 19 - One Layer

Hi LIMettes!

Wow there are already well over 200 entries this week! such is the popularity of this challenge and its a great one - all credit to Chrissy and Mandi.  Lovin' your inspiration ladies and again the standard of entries is brilliant!

So here is my little card - believe it or not I spent ages on this one yesterday!! Doesn't look it though!

Recipe
Card blank: Craftwork Cards
Stamp: Artemio
Inks: Memento: Lulu Lavender and New Sprout
Shimmer: All purpose ink: Champagne Mist by Stampin up
Glossy Accents

I do quite like the two-tone stamping effect easy peasy just dab your colours over different sections of the stamp and it doesn't matter if you go over an area with both colours either!  I do love this stamp and it was in its own ready made "frame" but I wanted to highlight that a bit more.  You can't really see it in these photos but I went over the border edge of the frame with my stylus to emboss it and then I dipped the stylus in the all purpose ink and went over the lines again.  I also dipped my finger in the ink and swiped it over certain parts of the image I think you can see it a little better in this photo:-

Enjoy the rest of your day and..

Happy Crafting...
