Talented Cardmaking Friends

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping well.  I'm just popping in today with a share of some gorgeous cards I received last week on my birthday from my cardmaking friends.  I think you will agree that they are all totally gorgeous and how lucky am I to have received them.

This card was made by Beryl.  Beryl doesn't have a blog - which is a real shame as she makes the most wonderful cards....  Perhaps I will continue to nag her!!!

The next card is by Shirley - who does have a blog you can visit her here if you want to see more of her lovely creations!

And finally my friend Karen.  I got Karen hooked on card making last year - she hasn't looked back and makes the most gorgeous cards!  She does have a blog but doesn't use it too much (mind you I can talk I've not been regularly updating mine of late have I - LOL)  If you want to see Karen's blog you can find that here.

All three cards are real stunners I think you will agree.

I love that on the majority of cards that I received both handmade and shop bought had something sparkly on them!  My friends do know me well!

So that's it for today.  Back again sometime soon.

Take care everyone.... and

Happy Birthday Dad!

Hi everyone - yet again I've been missing-in-cardmaking action over here on my blog!  So sorry just been snowed with a few projects and card orders - but hey I'm happy with that!!!

Thought I would show you a couple of cards I made recently for my Dad's 70th Birthday - I made one for me and one for my sister.

This is the one for me....

and this was for my sister

I don't know about you but I always struggle with men's cards - but actually I was chuffed with how these two turned out!!!!

To celebrate Dad's birthday we surprised him by being at the hotel he was staying at for the weekend on the Isle of Wight.  We all had a fantastic weekend and Dad loved the fact that we were there too - he had no idea!!!

On his actual birthday we booked a table at a lovely pub in Godshill the food and service were fab - including the fact that they put a candle in Dad's dessert and we all sang Happy Birthday to him - we hadn't asked them to do this but they just did - which we thought was a really nice touch!

Dad said he was a bit rusty playing pool, but he beat Terry and Darran when he played them!
We actually stayed in an apartment just a short distance from the hotel where Dad and Rita were - this was the view from the balcony - it was gorgeous!

On a day trip out we visited the famous Needles

We also visited a classic car show...

This band were entertaining the crowds at the Classic Car show - they were brill!!

 The Girls!
Susie and Rita

Another surprise for my Dad was that I had completed a scrapbook for him that he was waiting for!  He loved looking through it and he had a tear in his eye!
Terry and Darran will be pleased that I've not got any photos of them - well that are in focus anyway - yep took a few pics over that weekend, but a lot are blurry - ahemmmmmm - was drinking and enjoying myself too much!!!!!!!

So that is my share for today, I hope to be posting again soon.  I've got photos of the scrapbook that I want to share with you all so watch this space!

Take care and until next time...

Jam Jar Cards

Hello everyone out there in Blogsville.... Hope that you are all fit and well!  Its yet again been a long time since my last post - must try harder!!!

So I thought I would drop in today and share some cards I've made using products from Craftwork Cards. As some of you may know I'm very lucky to be on their design team and have been sent such a wonderful selection of products to play with.

Here are some cards I've made using the sweet Jam Jar card blanks - found here and also papers from Black Magic Goodybox here, the Macaroon Goodybox here and also papers from the fab Tea Dance collection found here.

Hope you like my little creations

I was inspired to make this first card from the row of glass jars that I have on a shelf above my craft desk - with you've guessed it - sparkly crystals!!  You know I can't help it.......

With this card you can just about make out in the photo below that I cut a piece of acetate to cover the front of the card so that my sentiment sat on top of the little hearts.

Think I might have gone just a little bit mad with the Liquid Pearls...... LOL

So that is it for me for today, I hope to be back posting again soon.

Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of the sunshine and thunderstorms!!  Until next time...

Craftwork Cards: New Tea Dance Collection....

Hi everyone just popping in today to share with you all something that I've made using the fabulous new Tea Dance Collection my full post is over on the Craftwork Cards Blog found here.

So this is what I made this weekend....

Still with me?!!! LOL I know lots of pics but I don't know about you, but I love lots of photos - I love to see those close up details and there was so much going on with this that I wanted you to see!!!

Obviously you can see its three squares which spell out Home Sweet Home.  I've deliberately not tied them together - initially so that I could take individual photos, but then I decided to leave them separate so that they could either be stuck to three pieces of board or canvas and could be placed either horizontally or vertically whichever takes your fancy!

So I hope that you have enjoyed my little share today.

Until next time...

Happy Crafting
