The Play Date Cafe Challenge # 78

Hi another fantastic day weather wise in my part of the world - amongst getting chores done and more weeding in the garden - I've slipeed away to my craft room for a little crafty session!  I wanted to join in the PDCC challenge this week - haven't done one for a while.  The inspiration for this challenge is this photo:-

Very Kath Kidston - whom I love..........  so using the photo inspiration, here is the card I've created for this challenge.

I looked at the colours and grabbed from my stash the blue felt, pink roses and the red spotty ribbon.  I decided I wanted the blue panel to be the main focus of the card and bravely stamped my image onto it.  I was a little nervous and was holding back and then I thought - just go for it! if it doesn't come out how you want you can try something else.  I gotta say I'm so pleased with how it has come out.  I think I need to be brave more often - don't know why I just don't go for it sometimes!  Do you find yourself "holding back" sometimes or am I the only one.....

I machine stitched around the blue panel, across the front of the card at the bottom, and I stitched the spotty ribbon on to another panel of blue felt.  I added some glossy accents to the roses to look like dew drops but alas I don't think you can see it in these pictures.

Anyway I'm so pleased with how this card turned out and so glad I "let go and just went for it"  I think it somehow helps me be more creative.

Enjoy what is left of the bank holiday and .....

Happy Crafting

Tina, I didn't realize that was felt, just by looking at the picture. It really did turn out well! It has such a crispness to it, the image. It must be a good piece of felt! The whole card is just lovely, and I'm so glad to see you back here at The Play Date Cafe. Missed you! ((hugs))

This card is a stunner. I would never have thought to use red spotted ribbon with pink roses or stamp on felt. A beautiful and stunning card. I just love it.
