WOYWW # 100!

Wow WOYWW has reached snoop number 100!!!  So for all of us nosey parkers out there that is a lot of snoops!  I'm going to join in today with more photos of my craft room you may remember this post where I showed you the beginnings of my craft room make over... well here is another step in that process: WARNING quite a LOT of photos to get through - hope you make it to the end.....

So I wanted a nice shelving unit to put on the wall above my desk, and luckily one weekend found this little beauty in a bric-a-brac shop - it fitted the bill perfectly... it just needed a coat of paint

Tilly is wondering what all the fuss is over and decides she wants to take centre stage!
So after a quick paint job and hubby flexing his DIY skills the new shelf is now up on the wall.....

A side view you can just see the nice edging!

..... and I've added some "pretty" bits to the shelves..... a  gorgeous lidded jar for my buttons...

I got this jar plus the two smaller ones on the shelves from my local garden centre and they were a bargain!  I've also done a bit of recycling with these little babies....
When I was a little girl I used to collect old perfume bottles and they would be lined up on my shelves in my bedroom it used to drive my mum mad when it came to cleaning!  .... but old habits die hard I guess, cos I still love bottles and jars even if the original contents of said jars were honey and jam!!!

Whilst I was at the garden centre I also picked up this little birdie - just because I liked it and thought it would look pretty on my new shelf!

Right back to what is actually on my desk!  Eagle eyed among you might have spotted these on the right of my desk - I have a series of blank letters you can see here the C, E, A, T, there are a couple I've not shown you can you work out what the word is.... anyway my plan is to decorate these and place them on toP of my new shelves.

To the left of my desk is my DT kit from Simply Create - gorgeous bright and fresh summery papers I so love the bottom one with the large flowers on it - haven't decided what I'm going to make as yet...

And lastly (phew!) I've got this little stash of ribbons and some silk material that I salvaged from an old tissue box cover I used to have they were lying on my desk as I haven't yet put them into my ribbon jars and I just had to take a photo cos they looked so damn gorgeous!!!!!!

Right this post was a mammoth job for me its taken me best part of an hour to do!!!  I think I had better go and see what lovely domestic jobs I should be attending to.... BUT I will be back later to have a snoop at some of your lovely workdesks!

Happy crafting (and snooping!)

Your craft room is looking gorgeous now Tina and I love all your little knick knacks.

I am still going back and forth to the hospital over an hour away from me at the moment as I think I told you my Dad was rushed in hospital Easter Sunday from his nursing home. Yesterday they told me to get there quick as he wasn't expected to live. Today I have rang and he is alot better but still hasn't recognised anyone for years. I don't think he wants to live without my Mum and he still keeps asking where she is. Yesterday he wasn't talking to anyone and he was on oxygen and wasn't awake at all.

Keep in touch
Hugs

I am so jealous - my studio will never look so gorgeous - much too messy and overflowing. I am a jar/container nut too and am always getting guff from dh about my piles of odds and ends containers - jars, boxes, bags, baskets, you name it and I will hoard it. Enjoy your space - it's just lovely. ~chris

What a transformation, the shelf looks fab.

I did chuckle at little Tilly sitting in the way, it's exactly the sort of thing Ellie does too - always wants to be the centre of attention!
